IJRDO – Journal of Archaeology is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines inspired by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All articles published in the journal are made freely accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
Authors, reviewers, editors, and readers are expected to adhere to the journal’s ethical policies. These policies guide the review, acceptance, and publication of submitted manuscripts. All submissions are carefully screened using reliable plagiarism detection software (such as iThenticate) to ensure originality, followed by a rigorous peer-review process conducted by expert reviewers to maintain academic quality.

Responsibilities of Publisher
- The publisher ensures that all decisions regarding submitted manuscripts are based solely on academic merit and expert reviewer recommendations, free from bias or personal influence.
- It is committed to protecting the intellectual, academic, and research contributions of authors.
- All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism before review.
- Ethical compliance is strictly monitored by the editorial team, reviewers, and editorial board.
- Necessary corrections, clarifications, or retractions will be issued when required.
- Any proven cases of misconduct will be handled appropriately, including withdrawal of the article if necessary.
- The publisher remains committed to maintaining transparency and integrity in all its publications.
Ethical Principles in Editorial Management
- The editorial team has full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on scholarly merit.
- Confidentiality of submitted manuscripts is strictly maintained during the review process.
- Editorial decisions are made based on academic quality, originality, and relevance, in consultation with reviewers when necessary.
- Reviewers’ identities and evaluations are kept confidential.

- Editors may issue corrections, retractions, or withdrawals where required.

- In cases of suspected misconduct, authors may be asked to provide explanations within a specified timeframe. Failure to respond or provide satisfactory clarification may result in rejection, retraction, or temporary restriction on future submissions.
- Editors are responsible for selecting qualified reviewers with relevant expertise and no conflicts of interest.
- Editorial independence is strictly maintained, ensuring that decisions are not influenced by the publisher or external parties.

Data and Information
- When using figures, tables, questionnaires, or substantial portions of previously published content, proper citation and written permission from the original author must be obtained.
- Direct quotations must be clearly indicated and appropriately referenced.
- Any use of previously published material in the form of summaries, interpretations, or conclusions must include proper citation.
- All referenced content must accurately reflect the original author’s intent and should not misrepresent their work.
